There was a vacant lot next-door to her house, then she had some big letters that spelled THE LOT made (thanks Chris Turner!!!), then all-of-a-sudden it was an outdoor ART GALLERY!!! Please come to THE LOT on Saturday August 8 for a two man show---Chris Kerr (Chicago) and Davin Brainard (Detroit)!!! Chris is making an interactive putt-putt golf course with a Michigan theme and photo-booths, Davin is making a painting called 1,000 FROGS, it's just ONE painting but it is going to be HUGE!!!

If you are in Detroit on August 8 , 2009 you must come to this show!!!

SARAH'S BRAIN!!!

My wife got an MRI brain-scan while she was taking part in a sleep study. Then the nice doctor gave her the dvd!!! I had to get special MRI reading software---called OSIRIX--that let me export as a quicktime file!!! The original is 33 minutes long so I just took the really exciting bits!!!

If you live in Detroit then you must know all about DRUID PERFUME!!! After THE PIRANHAS broke up some of the guys decided to add WADE on sax and start a new prog-freak-aktion band. I just finished editing a new dvd for the band and made the cover art too.

R.I.P. LUX INTERIOR

Man it was sad last month when RON ASHETON from the STOOGES died but somehow I'm even sadder that LUX INTERIOR from THE CRAMPS died the other day!!! When I was a kid (1983) I never even heard of THE STOOGES---the records were hard to find and they didn't have their comeback yet---but boy did I love THE CRAMPS!!! They helped create a PSYCHOBILLY scene in Detroit when ELVIS HITLER, SNAKEOUT and THE GORIES were all influenced by them. I first saw THE CRAMPS on the NIGHT FLIGHT cable tv show in the early 80's??? It was on USA NETWORK or something??? Anyways they played URGH A MUSIC WAR and THE CRAMPS were awesome!!! Then I finally got to see them live in person in 1986---it was great!!! R.I.P. LUX INTERIOR and I hope the best for his widow and CRAMPS guitarist POISON IVY!!! And then I realized that LUX had the same birthday (October 21) as both me and my beautiful wife!!! No wonder I loved him so much!!!

JIM SHAW BENEFIT ARTSHOW & CONCERT

Our pal Jim Shaw is being treated for cancer and has no health insurance!!! So there is a benefit show on Saturday February 7, 2009 at the MAGIC STICK and CPOP GALLERY in Detroit. I made a painting just for this event---it's called FUZZ---it will be auctioned off at CPOP---I hope it makes a lot of money for Jim!!!

PDM--NATURAL LAW--BUSAN, KOREA

PRINCESS DRAGONMOM was so happy that the curators at the BUSAN BIENNALE 2008 asked if they could include our NATURAL LAW movie in the show!!! Of course we said "yes!". Then we told them "We will need three tickets to Busan, Korea---we want to attend the opening" and they said "No thanks---but we WILL send you three catalogs". I was just in Miami so I got to visit Beatriz Montevaro at the studio she shares with her husband Gavin. It was great!!! She let me take a picture of a bunch of drawings.
